Initially, I would simply redirect my thoughts to distract myself, yet I found myself frequently agitated by negative possibilities. I then ventured into meditation, which, despite not silencing my thoughts entirely, became an activity I enjoyed. Reading books became a reliable method for shifting my focus, providing genuine relief. Recently, I’ve discovered that cooking and baking have a remarkably calming effect on me. I also hit the gym tracks to calm my thoughts!
One transformative book I encountered is “Energize Your Mind” by Gaur Gopal Das, which proved to be an enlightening experience. It discusses strategies for managing anxiety that profoundly resonated with me, making me feel understood. This book offered me a fresh perspective, and I’ve since embraced Gopal Das Ji’s “Why worry” philosophy. Encouraged by this, I also purchased “Life’s Amazing Secrets” and plan to share my thoughts on these books in a future review.
