Literary Bliss!

Daily writing prompt
What do you wish you could do more every day?

I dream of exploring a vast array of topics through reading each day and aspire to master more languages. While some may deem this mundane, for someone like me, whose closest companions are books, it represents a true slice of paradise. My desire is not just to amass knowledge; I also treasure the joy of losing myself in fiction. A renowned Tamil couplet, or Kural, by Tiruvalluvar, perfectly encapsulates this sentiment: செவுக்குணவில்லாத போழ்து சிறிது வயிற்றுக்கும் ஈயப் படும், which translates to ‘Consider sustenance for the body only when there is none for the ears.’ This sage advice encourages learners to prioritize the pursuit of knowledge above all else. I am speaking of the deeply immersive experience of reading, where the external world fades away, leaving you enveloped in the captivating universes contained within the pages.
