Measured Words!

What topics do you like to discuss?

I wish I could talk about everything under the sun, but honestly, some topics, like certain sports, just don’t interest me. I’m passionate about discussing ancient Sanskrit and Tamil poetry, literature, epic stories, fiction, artificial intelligence, cooking, baking, travel, fashion, and languages. So, if you’re looking for conversation starters with me, these are your go-to topics. Also, I really enjoy listening to others share their thoughts intelligently—it’s even better than talking myself!

Kalidasa’s Raghuvamsham offers a fascinating verse about the Raghu dynasty. They were known as mitabAshi, which means they were people of few words. They chose to speak less because they aimed to speak only the truth. The concept here is intriguing: speaking less can be a way to ensure that one stays truthful. The Raghus practiced this to avoid inadvertently uttering falsehoods. While we may not be descendants of the Raghus, adopting their principle of measured speech can be a wise choice.
