अस्मिन् लेखे मम नैमिषारण्यसाकेतदर्शनविषये उल्लिख्यते।अयोध्यायां राममन्दिरप्रतिष्ठापनस्यानन्तरं यथानेके भक्तास्तथैवाहमपि कथञ्चिद् रामो दर्शनीय इत्यचिन्तयम्। प्रतिदिनं जालपुटे जनसम्मर्दं वीक्ष्य कदा ममावसर आयातीति दीर्घश्वासं कृत्वा स्वकार्यं क्रियते। जनानामनुभवः, स्थातुमुचितस्थलम् – इत्यादीनां विषये पठित्वा कदा दर्शनाय उत्तमः समयः इति गतायोध्यानां प्रतिस्पन्दनात् टिप्पणी रचिता। मम इतोपि प्रत्यूहो विद्यते। नाहं भारतवासिनी, विदेशे उष्यते। फाल्गुणमासपर्यन्तमागन्तुं नाशक्नवम्। तदनन्तरं निर्वाचनसमये न गच्छेयमिति चिन्तना। तदा मदाचार्याः अयोध्यायां मङ्गलाशासनं कुर्युरिति वार्ता प्राप्ता चैत्रमासे। प्रथमं नैमिषारण्यं गत्वा तदनन्तरं साकेतगमनमिति ज्ञातम्। शिष्यैरागम्यतामिति घोषणापि वीक्षिता।

अस्मिन् समय एव गच्छेयमिति चिन्तना परं यदा मित्रैस्सह विमर्शितं तदा सर्वे निदाघकाले उत्तरभारते असहमान आतपो भवेदतो मा गम्यतामित्येवाधिक्येनाभणन्। केचन गम्यताम्, वयं तु भारतीयाः निदाघकालः स्वाभाविकः नः इत्यपि उक्तवन्तः। अपरं तु आचार्यैस्सह रामदर्शनमिति न प्राप्यते खलु इत्यवदन् । दश संवत्सराणि जातानि भारतीयग्रीष्मानुभवनेन मम। अन्ते रामे भारं स्थापयित्वा भारतमागन्तुं निर्णीयात्रागम्य प्रथमकार्यमुत्तरप्रदेशस्थाम् लक्नौ-नगरीमगमम्। तत्र चेन्नई-विमानस्थाने अनेके भागवताः दृष्टाः। सर्वे मद्वदाचार्यैस्सह भगवद्दर्शनमिच्छन्तः आगच्छन्।

नैमिषारण्यं वनमतः प्रातः तत्र शीतलमासीत्। मध्याह्ने एव किञ्चित् घर्मः अनुभूतः। तत्र श्रीसूतगद्दीमन्दिरस्थशयानगृहे अवसम्। अस्माकं मठे एवाहारः। अस्माकं ४३तमाचार्याणां बृन्दावनमपि तत्र वर्तते। नवनृसिंहमन्दिरं निर्मीय तस्य सम्प्रोक्षणं जातम्। उत्तराहोबिलमिति ख्यातः। दिनद्वयं तत्र उषित्वा गोमतीनद्यां स्नात्वा ससन्तोषमाचार्यपादारविन्दे’यापयम्। गोमतीनद्याः सुन्दरता अवर्णनीया।

आचर्यैस्सहैव ततः अयोध्यागमम्। निदाघकारणात् तत्र जनसम्मर्दः तावान् नासीत्। दर्शनं तु बहु सुलभम् आसीत्। पूर्वस्मिन् दिने मातापितरौ चलनासन्दे दर्शनार्थं गतौ। ताभ्यां सह पृथक् पङ्क्तौ आवाभ्यामपि गतम्।अर्धघण्टैव जाता दर्शनार्थम्। तत्रत्य आरक्षकाः बहु आदरेण व्यवहृतवन्तः। मनः सन्तोषेण पूरितमासीत्। कियान् दयावान् रामः। तदनन्तरं हनुमद्गद्दी, दशरथभवनम् च वीक्ष्य रात्रौ अशेरत।पुनः प्रातः मठं गत्वा आचार्यमङ्गलाशासनसमये तैस्सह गत्वा रामदर्शनं प्राप्तम्। तत्र ३००+ श्रीवैष्णवजनाः आगच्छन् रामदर्शनार्थम्। वातावरणमेव वैकुण्ठवदासीत्। मम दर्शनसमये तापो’पि तावान् न आसीत्। सर्वं सुकरं स्यात्।

अन्तिमे दिने सरयूनदीं गत्वा नौकायां विहारं कृत्वा नदीस्नानमपि कृतम्। सरयूमाता निर्मला सुन्दरी च। सायं सरयूमातुः नीराजनमपि दर्शितम्। सर्वं नूतनानुभवो मे। ततो नन्दिग्रामो गतो यत्रैव भरतेन श्रीरामपादुकां स्थापयित्वा पादुकया शासनमकारयत्। तत्र भरतहनुमतः आलिङ्गनमूर्तिरप्यस्ति।श्रीरामस्यपादुकापि विद्यते। तदनन्तरं विमानस्थलमागत्य गृहं प्रापम्।

तत्रैव स्थातुं अनेके पथिकाश्रमो विद्यते।तत्र गत्वापि विश्रामस्थलमन्वेष्टुं शक्यते। सौकर्येच्छुनां तत्र अमेरिकादेशतुल्यं शयानगृहं “रेडिसन” अपि विद्यते। तत्रैव मम वासः। मम तु त्रिवारं रामस्य दर्शनं जातम्। नन्वहं भाग्यवती। अधुनापि यात्रा इयं स्वप्नवत् प्रतिभाति मे। मया गतमिति विश्वस्तुं न शक्नोमि।

सर्वैः निश्चप्रचं गमनीयमेव। भगवान् श्रीरामः एव सर्वं सुकरं कुर्यात्। तस्मिन् विश्वस्य नेत्रं नीमील्य गच्छेम। नन्वयमेवेदमुवाच – “सकृदेव प्रपन्नाय तवास्मीति च याचते। अभयं सर्वभूतेभ्यो ददाम्येतद् व्रतं मम।।” श्रीरामस्य अनुग्रहः सर्वेषां जीवने भूयादिति उक्त्वा लेखोयं समाप्यते।

(This was my first trip to North India, and I was brimming with excitement. The only concern I had was the intense heat in the northern regions, but with my family heading on a pilgrimage, I couldn’t miss out. I booked a flight to Lucknow and from there, took a car to Naimisharanya, a Srivaishnava Divya Desam, nestled in a forest where sages once performed sacrifices. This quaint and stunning location proved surprisingly cool during the mornings and evenings.

Accommodations were plentiful, with many small hotel rooms available; we opted for one of these. The serene Gomati River flows through this area, calm and pristine. Taking a dip in its waters felt like heaven, and we also visited various local shrines, making the trip truly memorable. From there, we embarked on a 5-hour drive to Ayodhya.

In Ayodhya, I chose the Radisson for our stay, unsure of the other accommodations. A local guide took us for Ram Lalla’s darshan, which, thanks to the summer season’s smaller crowds, took just 30 minutes. I was thrilled to have the darshan of Shriram. We also visited Hanuman Gaddi, Dasharatha Mahal, and then returned to the hotel. These sites required a fair bit of walking, but as an avid walker, I managed despite the heat.

The next day brought another opportunity for Ram Lalla Darshan, this time with our Acharya, which was an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime experience. In the evening, we attended the Sarayu Aarti before returning to the hotel. The following morning, we took a boat ride on the Sarayu River to a small island, where we again dipped into the water. Sarayu’s calm and neat waters were refreshing.

Our next stop was Nandigram, the site where Bharata placed Rama’s padukas and governed Saketa. The shrine still houses Rama’s padukas and features a depiction of Bharata and Hanuman embracing. From there, we headed to the airport and returned home, the entire journey feeling like a dream.
