Ha! I never talk about myself (unless specifically asked), never brag about my achievements, and never share my endeavors with anyone. Yet, I doubt anyone even notices my silence because people are generally more focused on themselves, and I let them be.
I believe this quirkiness makes me uniquely weird, and it’s my favorite thing about myself.
Why do I refrain from self-promotion? It’s because of a verse in the Mahabharata that criticizes self-praise and boasting. Ever since I learned that verse at a young age, it springs to mind whenever I feel the urge to trumpet my accomplishments. The irony, of course, is that I felt like I was bragging while writing this piece about how I don’t brag. Lol. So, I’ll stop here!
