On what subject(s) are you an authority?
Ah, the esteemed poet Bhartrhari has already addressed this in his renowned Nitishatakam, so I must defer to his wisdom.
Meaning – When my knowledge was limited, pride blinded me like an elephant in rut. My mind was swollen with arrogance, convinced of my omniscience. However, through the company of wise men, I gradually realized the depth of my ignorance. My pride melted away like a fever, revealing my true folly.
Thus, realizing that you know nothing is the ultimate truth!
