Since the school year started and I signed up to teach four classes—adding up to 6-7 hours a week, not to mention the preparation time and homework corrections—I’ve found less time for reading. This is in addition to my regular activities and projects, but I still decided to explore something new. I came across D.V. Gundappa’s ‘Kagga,’ often referred to as the Kannada Bhagavad Gita. As mentioned before, I don’t know Kannada, so I rely on translations. The ‘Kagga’ is filled with philosophical verses that guide one through life. I haven’t started reading it yet, so my review will come later. I bought the English translation titled ‘Foggy Fool’s Farrago’ and I’m excited to dive into it. With 945 verses, I may write about specific ones that resonate with me in future posts, but the full book review will likely come by the end of the year or in 2025, at this rate.
I am Reading!
