पुनः कार्यमग्नाहं किमपि लेखितुं नाशक्नवम्। साम्प्रतं ज्ञायते किमर्थं जनाः मध्ये सर्वं(incl blog) त्यजन्तीति परं सप्ताहान्तः इति कारणेन किमपि लेखनीयमिति दृढसङ्कल्पाहम्।

पुरातनपत्रिकायाः पद्यमेकमवलोकयाम – पुरातनीति कारणेन विषयाः अपि गभीराः तत्र।

कामः क्रोधश्च मोहश्च देहे तिष्ठन्ति तस्कराः। ज्ञानरत्नापहारार्थं तस्माद् जाग्रत जाग्रत।।

तस्करः इत्युक्ते चोरः। अस्माकं देहे इत्युक्ते शरीरे चोराः वर्तन्ते। ते के – कामः क्रोधः मोहः। ते किं चोरयन्ति? अस्माकं ज्ञानम्। अत्र रूपकेन विषयः सुष्ठु प्रतिपादितः कविना। ज्ञानम् एव रत्नम्, तत् रत्नं चोरयितुमिच्छन्ति इमे चोराः अतः एभ्यः कथञ्चित् जागरितः भवन्तु इति अर्थः।

As always, I was like—wow! Every word resonated. Let’s all be mindful—desire, anger, and delusion can cloud our judgment. That’s the essence of the message for anyone unfamiliar with Sanskrit.

It really does take a lot of practice to become the kind of person described in the poem. Still, sharing thoughtful verses with meaningful messages—that’s my little contribution. Let’s all keep striving to be better, together! 🙂
