This weekend, amidst my hiking, walking, reading, and writing, I found some extra time and decided to dive into a Netflix series—Mamla Legal Hai. This Hindi series, spanning eight episodes, intrigued me enough to finish it over two days, even without binge-watching.
Despite the absence of any famous actors, other than Tanvi Azmi—or I should say, I probably don’t know many of the actors in this series—Mamla Legal Hai delves deep into the intricacies of the Indian judiciary system, focusing mainly on the Indian District Court and Delhi Bar Association. The series offers a vivid portrayal of the struggles faced by a first-generation lawyer. It seamlessly blends serious themes with lighter moments, making it an engaging watch.
Although the pacing might feel slow to those who crave fast-paced action, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The various narrative tracks kept me hooked, and now I can’t wait for the next season. Interestingly, my husband found it rather dull, so I took the opportunity to watch it while he was away golfing. Once you start watching it, you’ll love it, and it is trending on the charts, so many people seem to like this series.
