वाचकेभ्यो भूयांसि नमांसि। अद्य उत्तरभद्रातः पुदुक्कोट्टैश्रीशेषाद्रिस्वामिना लिखितं पद्यमुपमा च पश्येमाचार्यविषये शताभिषेकमहित्सवे।

पञ्चचत्वारिंशपीठभूषणेन यतीन्दुना। नारायणेनार्च्यमानं नारसिंहमुपास्महे।। सहस्रेन्दुकलालोकमहोत्सवसमेधितम्। भजे निरुपमं रत्नं नारायणयतिं गुरुम्।।

प्रथमं मालोलवन्दनम् -> तत्रापि कीदृशः मालोलः? यः मालोलः नाराणाख्याचार्येण यतीन्दुना पञ्चचत्वारिंशपीठभूषितेन अर्चयमानः वर्तते तादृशः मालोलः, तं मालोलम् उपास्महे इति तात्पर्यः। मालोलवन्दनात् परम् आचार्यवन्दनम् -> अहं सहस्रेन्दुकलालोकमहोत्सवसमेधितम् निरुपमं रत्नं नारायणयतिं गुरुम् भजे।

(I worship my preceptor, Nārāyaṇa Yati—the incomparable jewel—made all the more resplendent by the grand celebration of the Śatābhiṣekam.)

While the references to the Ācārya and the Mālola Stuti are beautiful, Swami further explains that Bhagavān Himself has identified the six individuals who are worthy of our reverence.

नित्यान्नदाता तरुणग्निहोत्री वेदान्तविच्चन्द्रसहस्रदर्शी। मासोपवासी च पतिव्रता च षड् वन्दनीयाः मम जीवलोके।।

अर्थः – नित्यान्नदाता -> The daily giver of food! श्रीसन्निधौ प्रतिदिनं वेलात्रये तदीयाराधानं भवति so HH is नित्यान्नदाता!

तरुणग्निहोत्री -> One who has followed vedic duties from youth and obviously HH is तरुणग्निहोत्री!

वेदान्तवित् -> A knower of Vedānta! आचार्याः वेदान्तविदिति प्रथितविषयः एव। So HH is वेदान्तवित्!

चन्द्रसहस्रदर्शी ->One who has seen a thousand moons, traditionally celebrated through the Śatābhiṣeka Mahotsavam. And yes, HH celebrated His Śatābhiṣeka Mahotsavam grandly at Śrīraṅgam on November 20, 2006—so that’s a no-brainer: HH is a  चन्द्रसहस्रदर्शी !

मासोपवासी -> Religious Austerity and because of माधुकरम्, HH is a मासोपवासी!

पतिव्रता -> Steadfast fidelity and virtue – Now this is what I like the most. How does this fit HH? because of his devotion in Malolaseva! Other than Malola, there is no other Lord for HH, that is why Srisannidhi Acharyas are named as “Azhagiyasingar” :) என் அமுதினை(மாலோலனை) கண்ட கண்கள் மற்றொன்றினண காணாவே fits better for Azhagiyasingar and for Sri Sannidhi Sishyas like me it is – என் அமுதினை(அழகியசிங்கரை) கண்ட கண்கள் மற்றொன்றினண காணாவே !

षडपि आचार्येषु वर्तते तर्हि ननु इदं सुस्थापितं यदाचार्याः निश्चप्रचं वन्दनीयाः इति? Writing this left me overwhelmed with gratitude and cherished memories of my revered Ācārya, Villivalam Srimad Azhagiyasingar.. कृतज्ञास्मि।
